We would like to invite all who are interested to our Ontario Church Planting Conference. It will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at New City Newmarket Church (1110 Stellar Dr, Newmarket ON). The conference will run from 10am – 5pm.

Why a church planting conference?

We think that church planting is vital to the growth of God’s kingdom in Canada, and the reformed and presbyterian vision provides a framework for healthy church planting, faithful ministry, and effective missional outreach. We’re organizing a conference to talk about the challenges and opportunities for church planting within the PCA movement in Ontario.

Schedule and Content

The day’s schedule will include a mix of plenary speakers, panels, topical discussions and prayer. The speakers are still being confirmed but will be pastors and church planters in the PCA. Topics will include:

  • a theological vision for church planting
  • what church planting feels like from the inside
  • characteristics of a reformed church plant including ecclesiology, sacraments and liturgy
  • how to discern a call to plant
  • how to multiply an existing church

Registration

The conference is $20 to attend and you can register here. Lunch is included with the registration cost.

Q and A

Q: Can I attend if I am not in a PCA church?

A: Absolutely. The conference is open to anyone though the topics will be addressed from a reformed and presbyterian point of view.

Q: Can I attend if I am a lay person and not an elder or pastor?

A: Again, absolutely. We hope that lay people interested in church planting will attend.
